It's natural to feel overwhelmed when faced with the ongoing responsibility of caring for an adult with Alzheimer's disease or a related form of dementia.

I specialize in the care of an older adult with Alzheimer’s disease or a related form of dementia such as Vascular dementia, Parkinson’s disease with dementia and Lewy Body dementia. I educate and guide family caregivers, train paid caregivers and offer educational presentations.

With extensive experience, training and a certification as a dementia care specialist, I offer a customized dementia plan of care to educate and empower caregivers. The plan includes: strategies to enhance communication, ways to minimize behavior and functional challenges, engaging activities community based care options and if needed resources and referrals to professionals which I have vetted. Recognizing that dementia progressively changes, I offer both short and long term planning.

With ongoing monitoring and support caregivers develop knowledge, skills, and care approaches that keep the individual with dementia active and safe while restoring their needed peace of mind.
